Sample Wolf Calendar

Week 1 テ「竄ャ窶 Den Meeting
Materials Needed: None
Looking Forward: All clear
Activity:
1. Until everyone arrives, work on the Coloring Page & Maze
2. Open with a repeat-after-me Cub Scout Promise (scouts stand and hold up Cub Scout Sign)
3. Sit in a circle on the floor and go around and introduce yourself and say where you go to school and who your teacher is.
4. Review the Law of the Pack, as it ties into the end of the Cub Scout Promise.
5. Review the Cub Scout Sign, as it also ties into what we did during the Promise.
6. Skit Time! The Wolves will do a skit at the upcoming Pack Meeting.

Script: All scouts lay in a line sleeping with leader at one end and Scout #1 at the other end.

Scout #1: I gotta go Wee.
(each scout passes the request down the line until it gets to the leader)
Leader: you’ll have to hold it.
(scouts pass the reply back)
Scout #1: I really gotta go Wee.
(pass it down)
Leader: No, go back to sleep.
(pass it down)
Scout #1: But, I REALLY, REALLY gotta go Wee.
Leader: Alright, go then!
Scout #1: (stands up, runs around yelling) WEEEEEEEEE!

7. Game Time!

Balloon Race テ「竄ャ窶 Divide into two teams. Blow up six balloons for each team and put the balloons in a garbage bag. One bag goes on one side of the room and the other bag goes on the opposite side. Teams line up next to the bag. Pick two parents テ「竄ャ窶 one holds one bag, and the other parent holds the other. Waist high is fine. Put a sheet of paper and a marker on the floor next to the parents. When you say テ「竄ャナ堵oテ「竄ャツ each scout grabs a balloon out of the bag and taps it in the air to the other bag. When they get it in the opposite bag, they get the marker and make a mark on the paper. Once he makes his mark, the next one on his team can go. First team to six marks wins. Dropping a balloon is OK and kicking it is OK. They cannot move while theyテ「竄ャ邃「re holding it in their hands though. If a balloon pops they have to go back and get another balloon. When scouts race, their team always cheers on the scout doing the work, by name if possible.

8. Snack Time!
9. Clean up and go home!

Week 2 テ「竄ャ窶 Den Meeting
Materials Needed: None
Looking Forward: No uniforms should be worn next week. Wear old clothes.
Activity:
1. Until everyone arrives, work on the テ「竄ャナGuess Who I Amテ「竄ャツ coloring page
2. Open with a repeat-after-me Cub Scout Promise (scouts stand and hold up Cub Scout Sign)
3. Sit in a circle on the floor and go around and introduce yourself and say what your favorite animal is and why
4. Review the Law of the Pack
5. Review the handshake, salute, and Motto. Spend a minute asking them what they think it means and why they think it might be important.
6. Skit Time! The Wolves will do a skit at the upcoming Pack Meeting. Skit is same as above.
7. Game Time!

Candy-Glove Race テ「竄ャ窶 Divide cub scouts up into two teams. Teams donテ「竄ャ邃「t have to be even. Scouts line up on one end of the room, and two chairs with a trash can in between them go on the other side of the room. Take two small buckets or bowls and set them on the chairs. Put at least one Hershey Kiss in each bowl for each scout on their team. If theyテ「竄ャ邃「re uneven, put an extra one in the low teamテ「竄ャ邃「s bowl and someone will get to go twice. Get two pair of work gloves and put them on the floor in front of the chair. When you say go, one scout from each team races to the chair, puts on the gloves, takes a Hershey kiss out of the bowl, opens it, eats the kiss, and puts ALL of the trash into the trash can. Trash canテ「竄ャ邃「t be on the floor. They then take off the gloves and put them back on the floor, and then race back and tag the next scout. First team to finish all the kisses wins. This game is hilarious and much harder than it sounds. When scouts race, their team always cheers on the scout doing the work, by name if possible.

8. Snack Time!
9. Clean up and go home!

Week 3 テ「竄ャ窶 Den Meeting
Materials Needed: Old Shirts
Looking Forward: Wear full Class A Uniforms next week
Activity: Float Night!
1. Until everyone arrives, work on the Law of the Pack
2. Open with a repeat-after-me Cub Scout Promise (scouts stand and hold up Cub Scout Sign)
3. Sit in a circle on the floor and go around and introduce yourself and say what your favorite food is
4. Review the scout sign, handshake, salute, motto and what テ「竄ャナ展ebelosテ「竄ャツ means.
5. Join the Pack in working on the Veterans Day Float for the church. Scouts are wearing old shirts because weテ「竄ャ邃「re making a paper mache globe. Thatテ「竄ャ邃「s a very messy activity and we donテ「竄ャ邃「t want to get paste all over their uniforms.
6. Snack Time!
7. Clean up!
8. If thereテ「竄ャ邃「s time after the meeting, they can go out in the grassy area outside of the doors and play テ「竄ャナ鉄teal The Baconテ「竄ャツ with the other Dens.

Steal The Bacon テ「竄ャ窶 get an old rag and tie a knot in it. Thatテ「竄ャ邃「s the bacon. The scouts line up in two lines, facing each other, about 30 feet apart. Number the scouts on each team テ「竄ャ窶 try to keep the teams even. If thereテ「竄ャ邃「s an odd number, get a parent to play. Number the teams the same, for example thereテ「竄ャ邃「s 1 through 10 on one side, and 1 through 10 on the other. Throw the bacon in the middle and call a number while itテ「竄ャ邃「s in the air. The scouts who have that number run and try to get the bacon and get it back over their line without having the other scout tag him. There are no winners/losers. Weテ「竄ャ邃「re just trying to wear them out at this point

Week 4 テ「竄ャ窶 Pack Meeting
Materials Needed: Full Class A Uniforms
Looking Forward: Pack Meeting is next week テ「竄ャ窶 get your list of awards needed to Joe Oswald.
Activity: Uniform Inspection!
1. Until everyone arrives, work on the Motto.
2. Open with a repeat-after-me Cub Scout Promise (scouts stand and hold up Cub Scout Sign)
3. Sit in a circle on the floor and go around and introduce yourself and say what your favorite food is
4. Take a minute to explain the parts of the uniform theyテ「竄ャ邃「re wearing, and talk a little about why wearing the uniform is important. I think thatテ「竄ャ邃「s on p. 33 テ「竄ャ窶 35 in the books.
5. Join the Pack for a Uniform Inspection! Mr King from Council will be here to do the inspection. We line up by Den, and Mr King goes around and helps the scouts get their uniforms correct.
6. Snack Time!
7. Clean up!
8. No running around outside with Class A uniforms on!
9. We might have ANOTHER special vistor this night!
